Harry potter mistake?
Hey everyone, I’m reading half blood prince and I’m up to the bit where aragog has just been buried and harry, slughorn and hagrid are drinking wine that slughorn has brought. Slughorn says some thing like:” I had a house elf test for poison before we drank it after what happened to your friend rupert”
Does jk mean Ron? It’s on page 454 in HPB chapter: after the burial.
My copy of the book was published in 2005.
No, Slughorn meant Ron, but called him Rupert because he cares more about famous and exceptional witches and wizards than ones like Ron. Rowling did it on purpose to help convey Slughorn’s personality.
