Tomb Bases

Tomb Bases
Discovery Channel’s Tomb of Jesus – why would it change your beliefs?

If they did find the tomb of Jesus, why would this change anyone’s belief in Him or the church? Same with whether or not He was truly married to Mary Madalene? Shouldn’t everything we do be based on His teachings rather than what He did as a man?

First of all, the tomb of Jesus was NOT found…
James Cameron has created a real piece of work hoaxaumentary. Archaeologists have refuted his claim, but the director of Terminator and Titanic wants to sensationalize a lie for money. A movie making whore! Lets look at this guy…. At an early age, Cameron gravitated toward fantasy. He had stacks of comic books, with a particular preference for Marvel titles like Spider-Man and The X-Men, laying all over his room. By age twelve, he was living in a fantasy world and announced to anyone who would listen that he was going to “be a comic-book artist” when he grew up. At Stamford Collegiate High School, his fantasy still in high gear, his interest in comic-book heroes took a sudden turn to science fiction. At the age of 20, he dropped out of Fullerton College and began, drinking and sampling other substances. Cameron has been married five times, received the Bradbury Award from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 1991 and is a member of the Mars Society. He lives on a different planet.

This movie whore is sensationlizing this hoaxumentary by stating “Brace yourself. James Cameron, the man who brought you ‘The Titanic’ is back with another blockbuster. This time, the ship he’s sinking is Christianity.” Profit, Profit, Profit … cha ching… cha ching.

Archeologists do not agree with sensationalist movie whore Cameron:
– Amos Kloner, the first archaeologist to examine the site, said the idea fails to hold up by archaeological standards but makes for profitable television.

“They just want to get money for it,” Kloner said. “It was an ordinary middle-class Jerusalem burial cave,” he added. “The names on the caskets are the most common names found among Jews at the time.”

– A British archeologist, Dr. Shimon Gibson, who worked with Cameron, said he doesn’t believe the claims made by Cameron.

Addionally, Dr. Gibson, an archeologist who was one of the first people to examine the caskets 27 years ago, now says: “Entering the tomb in 1980 I didn’t imagine this would become such an international focus.

– “The historical, religious and archaeological evidence show that the place where Christ was buried is the Church of the Resurrection,” said Attallah Hana, a Greek Orthodox clergyman in Jerusalem.

– Stephen Pfann, a biblical scholar at the University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem who was interviewed in the documentary, said the film’s hypothesis holds little weight.

“I don’t think that Christians are going to buy into this,” he said. “But sceptics, in general, would like to see something that pokes holes into the story that so many people hold dear.”

“How possible is it?” he added. “On a scale of one through ten, with ten being completely possible, it’s probably a one, maybe a one and a half.”

Pfann is even unsure that the name Jesus on the caskets was read correctly. He thinks it is more likely the name Hanun. Ancient Semitic script is notoriously difficult to decipher.

Dr. Jim Fleming, who for 25 years headed the World of the Bible Archaeological Museum and Pilgrim Center at Ein Karem, Jerusalem says “It’s hard to imagine a more clear illustration of misuse of scientific evidence.” During that time period, there would have been about 150,000 women in the Jerusalem area. An examination of names from known ossuaries from the period would indicate about 60,000 of those women would have been named Miriam, the Hebrew name translated as Mary in the Greek New Testament.

The other names found in the tomb were also extremely common, Fleming said. There would have been about 21,000 Josephs, 15,000 Judases, 13,000 Jesuses and 7,500 Matthews during that time period.
Also, it was customary in first century Palestine to identify people from the local area by their lineage and people from other areas by their town of origin. The fact that the ossuaries for Jesus and Mary have no geographical identifier indicates they are not likely to be those of the biblical figures, but rather people from Judea. They would have likely been identified as “Jesus of Nazareth” and “Mary of Magdala” had they been buried in Jerusalem.

Welcome to this hoaxaumentary and movie whoredom for profit at its finest…….Cha Ching!
