Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard Question!Please help!?
Hello,
I currently play WH40k, I collect the Tau. I coming close to finishing my army, and look forward to collecting a new on in the future. That next army I would like to collect is the IG Catchacans. Here our my questions,
1. I know they have an old Catchacan Codex, is it still legal?
2. Are the Catchacan’s stats in the newest IG Codex?
3. If they are in the new IG Codex, do they have Tanks, Walkers, etc?
Please do not answer this question if you don’t know what Warhammer is!
1. Not strictly, although it still works perfectly well under the new rules. A friendly opponent may still let you field a Catachan army under the old codex, but you can’t use it in tournament play.
2. Yep. Catachans are just regular Imperial Guardsmen. A lot of previously Catachan-only equipment types (demo charges and heavy flamers being the pertinent ones) are now available to all IG. The main loss is that the Sentinels don’t get any benefit from the chain-attachments any more.
3. Yep. See above.
