Would you rather have someone be right or confidant? ?
In the Marine Corps they would rather have you be confidant and its one of those things really getting on my nerves.
An example would be I had a 2 hour long argument with a Lcpl about a rhino not being a type of dinosaur. But that Marine sounded confidant in his argument and successfully got 2 other Marines on his side.
I do not blame the Lcpl for this I blame the B.S. training(personal opinion) I would rather have some one know what their talking about and not be a good speaker then vis versa. What do you other military folk think
and do other branches teach this?

Being confidant and wrong will get people killed. That’s just dangerous in his position! My husband is in the army and his squad leader is a complete moron, one of these “It’s right because I say so” types. And it scares the crap out of me. He will most definitely lead them into some dangerious situation just because he “thinks” it the right thing to do.
But on a different note, what kind of idiot thinks the rhino is a dinosaur? And why would you argue with said idiot for two hours?
