Is elmers super glue good for warhammer 40k tyranid plastic models?
I really need help. I’m just starting warhammer models. Thanks 
Elmer’s is a trade name used in the US for a generic glue, properly known as PVA.
PVA has many uses in hobby miniature, but putting plastic miniatures together is not one of them. There are really two types of glue that can be used in this case: traditional superglue (in gel or liquid form) or plastic glue.
Plastic glue is also known as polystyrene cement and, like superglue, comes in gel and liquid forms. In either case, it works by melting the plastic on either side of the bond and allowing it to reform to solid. This creates a highly-reliable bond.
For gluing metal to metal or plastic to metal, superglue is the proper choice.
PVA (Elmer’s) is most often used either for a “test-fit” – i.e. putting models together to check whether the parts fit and look good, as it forms an easily broken bond – or for gluing porous surfaces. The typical example of PVA glue-use in hobby miniature is when gluing sand or flock to the base of a finished miniature. The base is painted with PVA and then dipped in a pot of sand, flock or whatever. Allow this to dry and the base can then be painted normally.
