warhammer 40k. I bought the assault on black reach set the other day and want to have a battle with the orks?
and some of my other models, but i dont know the points of the orks in the set and what they add up to because i do not have the ork codex.
They’re roughly 400-500 points.
When you’re just starting out, though, don’t get too hung up on points values or, indeed, winning and losing. It’s better just to agree to a battle, work out forces that look about right in terms of parity and crack on. When time and money allow, it’s worth getting the Orks codex even if you aren’t planning a big Ork army long-term – after all, it’s good to know your enemy!
When I play games with my son, we usually just grab whichever models are most convenient and then make up a scenario that suits the miniatures we have to have. If we decide that one force was obviously superior to the other, then we swap forces for the next game to try to keep things fair.
