What are some other PC games that have gone from subscription to f2p?
I was looking around a bit and I realized that Champions online has a free 2 play mode now, limited but still pretty good for something to look back on. Warhammer online has unlimited trial mode now and supposedly will go free to play soon. Lotr has also gone free to play and lower its subscription for those who want unrestricted items or what ever. I also heard star wars is going to next year.
My question are what other games like these have turn free to play or even lowered their subscription?
Well…There is Dungeons and Dragons Online, but so far I’m not remembering any of the worthwhile ones. I could list a few F2P and B2P games that I believe are worthwhile in playing:
F2P
Allods Online
Runes of Magic (Not personally played)
Gates of Andaron (Also known as 4Story. One of the few actual WoW copiers. Allright game, can get a little boring and the gear isn’t that great)
Aika Online (Didn’t get that much time to play it, I was in the preview and closed beta sessions, but it gave me a virus, so I had to take it off)
P2P
Global Agenda (Amazing PvP, after level 18ish quests get almost unworth the effort)
Guild Wars 2 (Not out yet, but is sure to be a great buy)
The B2P section is very short, as most games are P2P/F2P. Most of the F2P games are of Asian origin, the only good quality ones are Korean. Then most of the Korean ones are almost the same as the next one. Try to stay with your European/American genre. Hope I helped you out a bit.
