Any tips on making my own minis game?
I’m trying to make rules for my own miniatures game and I’m trying to make it like the Fighting Fantasy game books but with models, any tips?
Think of all the things you want out of the game (use your favorite miniatures games as a base, but don’t just steal ideas!) and try to fit them together. Think of why you want to make the game, and what you want to bring to the miniature gaming world. Design combat elements and the rest of the game’s other systems, again, using other games as a base as to what works or may not work.
Test often! Everything needs tested for balance issues and other things that are similar. Find friends that enjoy miniatures games and have them test, then tell you what they found fun and what could be worked on.
Most of all, make your game fun! If you don’t have fun making it, no one will have fun playing it. Be creative.
