west coast Marine recruits take field training at camp pendleton. pendleton is full of hills to hump. i heard.?
one person call them the “wicked hills” of pendleton, i remember mt muthaf@ka, ole smokey, and the grim reaper. torturous to hump! my question is, do the army have a basic training unit that has alot of hills also? parris island Marine recruits have easy humps because there are no hills there. is there other Army bases that have hilly terrain? ewspecially basic training?
First, there is no such thing as an easy hump. I went to boot camp at Parris Island and it was torturous. Sure, no hills, but lots of sand and ankle-deep water to slow you down. Add the heat and humidity and you got yourself a miserable time.
Fort Knox in Kentucky has some big hills and there’s training there.
