should I buy a luxury car, being a student and young male?
I’m an 18 year old student on track to becoming a surgeon. I have a full scholarship to Maryland. I led my school’s basketball team to the state semi-finals. in spite of this, I still work full time for spending-money and I volunteer at the local hospital 2 hours a week, twice a week.
I feel that I have earned the right to treat myself to something I just want, not because its the correct choice, in terms of the overall picture – I know medical school will cost me an arm and a leg – but I feel that I have been the ideal son up to this point and I deserve it. I’m not extorting it out of my parents or anyone else; it’ll be my own hard earned money. I make 800 dollars a week and I dont support anyone but myself.
I’ve narrowed my choice down to the newly introduced BMW 1 series, specifically the 135i. it comes out in spring of 2008 for the first time. I expect to pay, after my options, around 35-40k.
so, I’m seeking vindication here, positive or negative.
