In the book of Revelation there is a mention of the rider on the white horse, who is he?
It is said that the Lamb is the ‘ Lord of Lords and King of Kings ‘ in chapter 17 but the rider on the white horse has the title ‘ King of Kings and Lord of Lords ‘ written on his right thigh. It is said that he treads the winepress of the wrath of God. He is described as faithful and with a name witten on his head that no one knows but he himself. His robe is dipped in blood.
I think Jesus Christ and him are simultaneously one and different. Since it is also mentioned that in the end the people will be able to see God face to face with Jesus on his right maybe that is his introduction on his coming!
He has a bow, an offensive weapon of war, but he is also given a crown.
Why, though, must the newly crowned King ride forth to war? It is because his kingship is established in the face of bitter opposition from the chief adversary, Satan the Devil, and those on earth who—knowingly or unknowingly—serve Satan’s ends. The birth of the Kingdom itself calls for a major war in heaven. Fighting under the name Michael (meaning “Who Is Like God?” No-one is more like God than Jesus), Jesus overcomes Satan and his demons and hurls them down to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-12)
Events on earth today show that we truly have a demonic influence pervading the thinking of mankind.
Really these must be the days foretold by Paul in his 2nd letter to Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 “But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here…” (Please check out the rest of that chapter)
