Do i have enough eldar to play warhammer 40k?
I have been collecting eldar for sometime now and would like to go play at one of the shops. But i dont know if i have enough units. I have a farseer HQ, 1 eldar dire avengers squad, 1 guardians squad, 1 striking scorpions squad(contanes 6 striking scorpions), 1 wraithlord, 1 howling banshees squad(contains 6 of them, and 1 eldar support weapon. Do i have enough? and if i dont what do i need ?
yes i have a codex and in the dire avengers squad i have 10 units and in the guardians i have 10 units i have a codex.
You have enough minis, but it sounds like you need to get yourself the codex. With this in hand, you’ll be able to work out which weapons, wargear and additional upgrades your characters and squads have and, hence, how many points you have in your army.
It sounds like you have about 1000 points, depending on the size of your DA squad and guardian squad. But don’t let the question of equal points stop you going for a game. You can either even up sides with a bit of creative scenario design, or by adding beneficial terrain to your side (try playing a Planetstrike scenario with your Eldar as defenders if your opponent has more points than you!). Or just dive into an imbalanced game. It may not be fair, but it’ll still be fun and to get to know the game you’re better off just playing and not worrying too much about balance or fairness.
However, I must emphasize: make sure you have a codex. You need to know the rules and stats for your models and be able to write a proper army list. Without those things, you’re putting too much of a burden on your opponent.
