My boyfriend is 29 and is still living at home! It pisses me off so much! He makes about 60K and has about $40k in student debt (which he’s paying off), but who doesn’t?
He lives in a 3 story house with his mom and dad – does his own cooking and cleaning and laundry and helps pay the bills.
I tell him that its time to move out, and he tells me he can’t afford it since he’s paying high interest rates for the student loans (from banks).
I tell him its ridiculous and he says that he’ll have no money left over for anything else!!!
This is outrageous because his life standards aren’t really that high, its not like he drives a Lamorghini or anything or jets off to Europe every month that he has to pay for all this!
He’s a simple guy! Could it be his parents keeping him home? Or is something just mentally wrong with him?
Does he like to take you to Star Trek conventions. Move on and find a real man.
