warhammer 40k kroot qwestion
i am building a tau army for warhammer 40k and wonder about the mods allowed for kroots. the rulebook states that a kroot carnivore squad can genetically adapt to what they eat. would it be feasable then to create tyranid/kroot hybrids, ect…? if so is there anywhere in the rules that would allow / disallow these mods?
Sounds like some cool mods! Though one has to wonder if eating Tyrannids might not wind up bringing the kroot under the influence of the hive mind…
The WYSIWYG rule in 40K means you’re opponent needs to be able to look at your army and tell what things are based on the model. Kroots with Tyrannid features are still clearly kroots. Now, if you model a giant kroot/Carnifex critter with a bio-cannon on its back, people might complain it was too easy to mistake for a Krootox.
I don’t think anyone should mind some cool modifications and styling of your kroot!
