Imperial guard camo, urban or snow?
I’m getting some imperial guard troop and I was going to paint them in snow or urban camo, in your opinion, what camo looks best
I’m guessing this is Warhammer40K ?? I’m not familiar with these figures, but have done Tamiya 1/35 figures since 1977 and LOVE to “mix & match” camo schemes.
In the Military, “Uniform” is NOT the norm in extended combat… the “Uniform” is what a group of soldiers will start out a campaign wearing… but then they pick up other items (sometimes enemy), their uniforms age and weather, and sometimes we wear a winter item with a spring or fall item !!
I did a number of German, Russian, and American figures with a mix of uniforms… including current (Desert Storm) US figures who had mixed uniform items… example: Chocolate Chip pants, 6-color blouse, desert boots, but woodland-pattern harness gear.
Seriously… the “clean and uniform” uniform goes out the window once you leave the barracks and get into weeks of combat.
I WILL look up the “Imperial Guard Troop”… but I would go urban or a mix.
