What are space marines (the models) actually made from? I mean what types of plastic and metal?
All i know is that the older metal models were lead, and that the current metal is an alloy. Thats it.

All white metal miniatures are cast in alloys (pure lead was only done a long time ago). For miniatures this is either a mainly lead/tin or pewter (nearly full tin) alloy. The lead/tin alloy is cheaper and easier to cast with but years ago companies made use of the “lead scare” to switch to the more expensive pewter. Right now lead/tin is still common in Europe while the US uses mostly pewter.
As to plastics: the figures you get on sprues are polystyrene. The larger models created by other companies for use with GW (like the old Armorcast ones) are in polyurethane resin.
