- Head gets shaved when you get to boot camp, don’t worry about your hair.
- They give you a list of what and what not to bring to boot camp.
- You can bring prescribed medications but upon arriving at boot camp they will be given to your DIs and they will give you the pills when you need them.
- Right after boot camp you go home on leave for ten days. After that, MCT or SOI.
- People can’t just drop out. Once you’re there, you’re only getting out by graduating or getting discharged. This is a common lie that recruiters tell. “If you don’t like it, you can leave”. NOPE you’re stuck.
- You can get delayed in training if you fail to pass a certain part. You will pick up with another platoon.
- If you get sent home, chances are you will not be allowed to enlist in another branch. However, something must go majorly wrong to be discharged and sent home. Do not worry about things like this.
- To gain weight, work on building muscles, weightlifting. Eat a lot.
- What you get on the ASVAB determines what jobs you qualify for. Bottom line. So study for it before you take it and you will do good. They sell study guides for the test.
- Don’t know about being a pilot.
- No bringing a camera to boot camp but on your free day before graduation you can buy one to have for the last week or so.
