anyone got any warhammer or know where to get some cheap?
i need some warhammer mainly chaos stuff i think my son is going through this warhammer phase so if anyone knows where i can get them from for cheap or has got any lyin around plz reply
(paints,codex’s,and other stuff needed aswell)
eBay is the best place to find cheap miniatures (at least it is here in the UK) but you’ve got to read the descriptions carefully and look at the photographs to make sure you are buying what you think you are; avoid sellers with a rating lower than 98%.
You can buy used paints on eBay too, but again make sure they are in good condtion and not dried up. If you buy paints new, take a look at Vallejo and Coat D’Arms paints as well as Games Workshop’s Citadel range; most people use GW Citadel paints which are very good (the Foundation paints are excellent for beginners because they give such good coverage) but Coat D’Arms make many of the exact same paints as GW (they used to be their main supplier) and they cost a third less and contain a third more!
Make sure he reads a couple of tutorials – the Miniature Mentor video is great too – so that he doesn’t suffer the usual frustrations of messy paint-jobs. It’s important to prime lightly, use undercoats if needed and dilute the paints to get a smooth finish.
