I live in America and my British cousin sent me a warhammer set which i have no idea how to play i already painted the people though.

I got the battle for skull pass
If you got the Battle for Skull Pass, then you should have the A5 booklet with all the rules in it. Although Warhammer is manufactured by British company Games Workshop, it is widely played in the US and there are independent retailers in all major cities where you will usually find other players and dedicated tables.
To find other players near you, I recommend the wargamers social networking site, http://mybattalion.com. But you will also find loads of US wargamers on the big community forums, like http://warseer.com and http://dakkadakka.com.
