Warhammer questions…?
I am collecting a Tau army and want to be able to participate in local competitions etc. I was just wandering about a few things, the first is, do I have to have any of the colour schemes off the Games Workshop website or can I use my own, because I’m half way through painting an army in my own colour scheme.
The second question was whether I have to use the pathfinders you buy or can I customise some ordinary spare fire warriors and use them as my pathfinders?

For official tournaments you have to use the correct models shown on your army list but their aren’t really any color scheme restrictions for Tau.
For local tournaments pretty much anything goes so long as your models are easy to recognize so conversions and proxies are usually permissible.
