My downloads from android market are stalling at ‘Starting Download’ since updating to Android 2.1 update 1…?
On Friday morning, my Sony Ericsson X10 prompted me to update my phone, so I did. The update went fine and, although the backup and restore app was a bit glitchy, i didn’t have any problems.
Only that evening when trying to download apps off the Android Market did a problem hit. I was able to download A+ timetable with no problems, but thats it. Since then, everything I’ve tried to download has said ‘starting download’ then just stopped and stayed on the ‘Downloads’ page. These apps include Google Goggles, Google Street view, Angry Birds and Kik Messenger, and it strikes me as odd that these high profile apps would mysteriously not work, so i blame the update.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
i used to have the same problem with my android.my apps would say starting downloads then they would stall.this is what i did that helped me solve the problem
.go to settings>applications>manage applications> marketplace>delete {do not delete marketplace updater}).
that worked for me and now it downloads apps like it did before.hopefully your phone works again,good luck
