warhammer vampire count army?
im only just getting into warhammer and im trying to build a vampire army wat do i need??? i just won off ebay
12 skeletons monster
12 undead monster
12 mummy monsters
i won them for $27 is that good??? unpainted but under coated…
wat else should i buy to make a great army name everything i need please like strong vampire counts i also have brought a
corpse cart… also how many soliders/undead monster can you have in a army to play with and how many vehicles/corpse carts can yo have on the field…..
are vampire armies good
are there any good vehicles for vampire armies also are banshees any good thanks
considering Games Workshop miniatures generally run between $10-20 per you made out like a demon with the benefit of getting preprimed figures
most armies run between 1000-3000 points so you can have special troop types to swap out for a particular foe
basic troops are essentially unlimited up to your point limit
your general is a must as without it your army will run away
usually a powerful vampire lord or other leader
casters – are a good idea so having 3-4 on hand doesn’t hurt
they have many useful spells including some nasty area effect ones
including raising the newly dead enemy’s soldiers to fight on your side
cavalry – mounted units are needed to spearhead a charge as their faster movement can allow them to overrun a fleeing unit
they also work well as skirmishers
a variety of siege weapons and other “crew served weapons”
undead creatures like Dracoliches
your own archers should be at least 2 units worth
at a minimum you will need
1 general mounted or not
2-3 trooper units like skeletons or zombies
1 cavalry
1 caster necromancers are best for vampire lord armies
1 archer unit
most units will have at least 10 miniatures in it but usually 20
as formation tactics are a must
a flank or rear attack can be devastating so be ready to launch one if the other player leaves an openning to exploit
each figure/unit has it’s strengths and weaknesses so balancing your army to cover those weak spots will go a long way to victory
