warhammer metal figure paint removal?
i have a badly painted 40k mephiston lord of death figure (metal) and want to know how i could remove paint from it, the detail’s all been filled in in most places of the model, and the paint’s uneven.
However the arm has bean weakly glued on (it doesn’t wiggle about though, just if you use a little more than normal pushing) and i’m concerned if i try to remove the paint the arm will fall off rendering the model broken and the arm will not be able to be glued on as the glue has been built up around the arm (by several fruitless gluing attempts AND to keep it secure). IF there is a way to remove the glue (which is a strong brand of superglue) which has been used in a few atempts to keep glue the arm on then i would like to know.
last of all i’m only 13 so i won’t be able to do anything extreme +i actually am quite good at painting, just that i painted it not long after i started.

You want a bottle of Fairy Power Spray – it is about £3 and is currently the least toxic paint remover available on the high-street in the UK. You basically just spray and let the model soak in it, you may need a toothbrush to get it out of some areas. Look on youtube for fairy power spray or just search online for “fairy power spray paint removal”. You do have to be a bit careful with the stuff, but if you do your research first you’ll be fine. It should break the glue too.
