Warhammer 40k Tyranids or Ork?
I am a noob (completely) to warhammer 40k,
I am wondering if you would suggest an army of orcs or nids.
I have read up on all armies, and found myself partial to both of these guys.
Also, do orcs flesh HAVE to be green? think i would perfer yellow or red.
Please let me know!
I would personally recommend Orks as an army with a lot of personality (Tyranids possess almost as little as Necrons) and which is a lot of fun to play. Also, with the Assault on Black Reach boxed set you can get started with a mini army at a bargain price.
Orks don’t have to be green. It’s your army, so paint it how you like! But purists will note that Orks consider green to be a sign of racial purity. On the other hand, they love to paint their vehicles red (as they believe they go faster) and the Evil Sunz tribe extend this to most of their armour and equipment, too. Bad Moons, meanwhile, have more teeth (money) than sense and so paint their equipment and armour yellow.
Snakebites are a primitive tribe who believe in the power of mystic blue warpaint that they daub liberally upon themselves so that they often seem more blue than green.
