warhammer 40k :Could someone tell me the Blight drone stats?
Can someone please tell me the stats, or post a link them, or even better a link to a Imperial Armour Volume 7 torrent, I can’t find any!
I don’t plan on buying the model, I want try and make one, I don’t think the model FW looks nurgly enough, I just want to see what type of role they play in a nurgle army so I can model one based on that.
Well, as I find myself having to say with almost tedious regularity here, neither Y!A nor Games Workshop endorses the distribution of illegal scans or downloads of copyright print material. This unfortunately precludes sharing not only a torrent but also the details of this unit online.
However, I realize that this is unhelpful and the last thing I want to do is put someone off what sounds like a great scratchbuild/conversion in a haze of righteousness. So allow me to add something constructive to the matter.
First of all, the rules in the Imperial Armour volumes are not “official”. Whilst they are playtested, this is for internal coherency, not for balance. As a result, in friendly games they are “with opponent’s permission only” and they are entirely barred from 99% of tournaments (with some exceptions, such as the Death Korps of Krieg army list, which is admitted in a handful of tournies).
This means that worrying about the “official” rules is really not important. If you’re going to go to the trouble of building your own Nurgley-floaty-plaguey thing then why not download the Apocalypse datasheet from the Games Workshop website and use it to design your very own special rules for your unique skimmer.
For what it’s worth, I’d point out that the pictures of the Blight drone on the Forge World website don’t really do it justice in terms of its horribleness. Here’s a picture of Dave Taylor’s excellent specimen that clearly shows the hideous sack of pus that is the Blight drone:
