How many tanks, land speeders, etc am I allowed to have on the playing filed for a standard 40k match?

Rahter confused on what the rules state. For example I am i allowed to have a Predator tank on the field as well as a land speeder if i have two dreadnoughts? Also what is the best balanced way to equip a land speeder?

Each unit has a point value. You Players decide on a number of points per game, then you deploy whatever units you want as long as you keep it under the point limit.
