Can you give me reasons to get a SUV?
My parents are looking for a new car. We’re replacing our Toyota Sienna. My mom wants another minivan, but as you know, the market for minivans is minuscule. You basically get to choose Toyota or Honda (Yeah, I know Kia, Chrysler, Dodge, Volkswagen, and Mazda have minivans but the best are undoubtedly Toyota’s Sienna and Honda’s Odyssey). I told them about this and they expressed some interest in perhaps buying a SUV. As I do not like minivans, I am pretty excited about this. My parents value passenger capacity and space, trunk capacity, luxury, and yeah. What are some cheaper (prefer sub $30k, perhaps sub $40k) SUVs with these virtues? Is there by any chance you can recommend a SUV that is at least a bit fun to drive?
Oh yeah, and they would like higher fuel economy. I understand SUVs will not have high mpg but still, the higher the better.
And we already have a sedan so please no recommendations of smaller cars.

Honda does have SUV’s – The Pilot and the CR-V.
And the Tahoe Hybrid is around $55K. Someone wasn’t listening to your budget requirements.
