where can i download warhammer /40k/ lord of the rings rulebooks and sourcebooks?
i really cant afford to buy all of the books from games workshop. so iv tried to find a download, iv looked in so many places and nothing i type brings up any results on google, any ideas? (please dont recommend limewire i dont want to install anything else) i have utorrent tho so torrents would be ok
Some torrents of Games Workshop publications do exist. However, these are illegal, pirate copies and neither Y!A nor Games Workshop will thank me for distributing them. Generally, they don’t stick around for very long, as GW’s legal team find them and take them down.
Moreover, many clubs and all stores and tournaments will eject players using downloaded copies of rules, so having such document will avail you little when it comes to actually playing the game.
You don’t need to own all the books to play. You need two to play 40k: the main rulebook and the codex of your army of choice. You can find cheap copies on eBay or buy the Assault on Black Reach boxed set for a rulebook, two small armies and everything else you need to get started playing. In fact, to play with the AoBR boxed set, you don’t even need a codex.
For LotR, each sourcebook contains the details of play for the scenarios and characters in that sourcebook – again, you don’t need all of them to play. If you want to play the new War of the Ring game, then all of the rules for every model in the LotR miniatures range are repeated in the War of the Ring rulebook. You don’t need anything else to get started except the army itself.
