Can you all please help me choose which warhammer game and which army is best for a beginner?
Hi everyone,
Just to get it out there I am fairly new in my geekdom and decided to give warhammer a go. I know absolutely no one that plays it and am mainly looking for a hobby to do myself rather than play with others, so all in all, strategies and play styles for the armies isn’t a problem.
My main problems are which warhammer to start with, which army is easiest to paint and which is cheapest (I’m stingy).
With the Warhammer I’ve liked the Orcs, Skave, Vampire Counts and Brettonia. Whilst on the other hand Warhammer 40,000 also gets my interest and those armies are mainly the Witch/Daemon hunters, Orks and Imperial Guard.

In 40k I would recommend trying the Space Marines because they are a very powerful army and they can also be customized for almost any style of play. This means that you can buy the main units and then play a few games and decide whether you want to specialize in assault, long range, vehicles, ect. They also have the most options when it comes to army design, as you can play the Blood Angels, the Space Wolves and many more.
