I need tactics for warhammer 40k table top?
I am going to be using the chaos space marines and m basing my army around Khorne. I am farely new so all tactics and squad formations would help

Khorne armies are a lot of fun to play, and rely very much on getting into close combat quickly, and ensuring you get the charge in. Khorne is the Chaos God of War, and so if you want to play in keeping with the background, you need to be aggressive. Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t play smart as well, you just need to be mindful of some of the inherent weaknesses of a Khorne army, compared to a Chaos Marine force that takes units from the whole pantheon of Chaos.
Khorne Bezerkers should be at the core of your army. They’re deadly in hand-to-hand, and get the Furious Charge bonus, so make sure you’re the one doing the charging to get the extra good stuff! You need to make sure these fellas get into combat fast, and aren’t left in the open for your enemy to shoot at. So, stick them in a Rhino, or – if you have the points to spare – a Land Raider. Remember, getting close to your enemy is key! If you’re using rhinos, don’t be tempted to load them with weapons – move the maximum distance possible, and get them to the enemy!
As for your HQ choices, Khorne Daemon Princes are pretty good choice. Take them with wings, because you’ll need that extra mobility and speed. Sadly, as Khorne despises sorcery, you can’t pick any psyker powers, so you can’t pick Warptime or anything else. Chaos Lords can be ok, but be sure to give them some form of transport like a Land Raider. My personal opinion is that you shouldn’t pick the Khorne Daemon weapon – read the rules, and you’ll see how bad it is! Then, of course, you have Kharn the Betrayer… many would say a true Khorne army isn’t complete without him, and I’ve gotta say he’s a lot of fun to play, if very unpredictable! He’s one tough fella, and will give your opponent a lot of problems!
So, what about anti-tank options? Well, with your Bezerker squads, consider equipping your Skull Champions with power fists. This will give you some anti-armour options across your whole army. Obliterators are a superb choice, and while some don’t think they fit that well into the ‘fluff’ of a Khorne army, I don’t see an issue. I strongly believe they are a better option than a Predator.
The other answerer suggested registering at Warseer, and that’s a great suggestion. My particular 40k community of choice is, however, the Bolter & Chainsword website (www.bolterandchainsword.com). There are some dedicated boards there for Chaos Space Marines and Khorne armies too, so you’re bound to find plenty of inspiration, tactical advice and suggested army lists for you to look through.
