(This is regarding the tabletop version, not the mmo)
Can a sorceress cast and attack in the same turn?
If possible, please include pg # in rule book for me to reference.

Movement
Magic
Shooting
Attacking

I figured it out. The answer is, Yes, in fantasy you can cast and attack in the same turn. I asked a guy at the local gaming store who plays hardcore in tournaments.
Strictly speaking, yes.
Magic and Combat are separate phases of the game, so a wizard can always cast and fight in the same turn. However, it will depend on the spell in question. Some spells cannot be cast if the wizard is engaged in close combat (such as any magic missile spell – p110). Some allow him to charge into or run out of combat (such as Steed of Shadows – p114). Some are only effective if the wizard is already in combat (Flaming Sword of Rhuin – p112).
