When is the new Necron Codex Coming Out?
does anyone here now when a new Warhammer 40k Necron Codex is going to come out? I read some rumors that it was going to come out in the 3rd quarter of 2010 is it true. and is there a good website (beside games workshop and Warseer) that has all information about necrons eg warseer. Thanx
Until very recently, the rumour mill for Necrons was dead in the water. But lately, things have been stirred up.
This is what we’ve got: in 2010 there will be four new 40k codexes. The first was Tyranids, and Blood Angels are out next month. Rumours that the fourth will be Dark Angels have gathered momentum since January, although they are still vague and unformed. The nature of the third has been a closely-guarded secret but, in the last couple of weeks, knowledgeable sources have been saying “Dark Eldar” with growing confidence.
Having said that, it is also said that a new Necron codex is also on the horizon. Some are saying that this may come out ahead of the Dark Eldar, pushing the thin, spiky ones back to Q1 2011. Others that it’s the ‘crons that are slated for Q1 2011.
Either way, it’s looking increasingly likely that the pattern of Marines/Other/Marines/Other will continue through 2010 and into early 2011, with both Necrons and Dark Eldar like to appear as one of the “Other” codexes within the next 12 months.
As far as good forums go, Warseer, Bolter & Chainsword, Librarium online etc are the best.
