what does Counter attack do in warhammer?
can someone please give me a definition of these special rules? i have no money for a rulebook and would like to know. Acute Senses-And they shall know no fear-Counter attack-Infiltrate-Move through cover, Scout- Eternal warrior-stubborn-fearless-tank hunter-relentless-prefferred enemy. If you have the money for a codex and an army, then you have the money for a rulebook. You can pick up the A5 rulebook that comes with the AoBR boxed set on eBay for a good price, or – if you’re really desperate – ask if you can borrow a copy from another player at your local friendly gaming store or wargaming club. You’ll often find that 40k veterans have multiple rulebooks, as a few of us like to buy multiple copies of AoBR just because it’s such a bargain and we love the easy-build minis.
However, for what it’s worth, I’ll help you out with these queries concerngin what it clearly the Space Wolves codex:
Acute Senses allows you to reroll the distance to see enemies when fighting in night conditions.
ATSKNF means that units that fall back from combat automatically re-group and can’t be destroyed in a sweeping advance.
Counter-attack means that, if they are assaulted, they receive +1 Attack, as if they themselves assaulted.
Infiltrate means they can either deploy onto the board ahead of their deployment zone (with restrictions) or by outflanking, accordingly to the rules for outflanking and reserves.
Move Through Cover allows the unit to roll an extra dice when determining how far it can move through difficult terrain.
Scout allows the unit either to make a normal move before the game begins or to outflank.
Eternal Warrior makes the unit immune to Instant Death.
Stubborn units always make break tests using their full Leadership.
Fearless units never take break tests, although they do take extra wounds if they lose combat.
Tank Hunters gain a variety of bonuses to armour penetration when shooting at or attacking vehicles.
Relentless units always count as not moving when firing their weapons.
Preferred Enemy – units with this rule always hit opponents who are their designated “preferred enemy” on a 4+ (unless it would normally be better than this).
Now, you’ll probably find that a lot of these rules don’t make a lot of sense out of the context of the rules as a whole. That’s why you need a rulebook.
