Warhammer 40,000 help?
I started collecting my tau army recently and so far I have a fire warrior squad and an xv25 squad.
My friend also started his imperial guard army,he has the cadian battleforce.
We played last week him using all of his miniatures,with the exception of two turrets which he hadn’t completed.
I only killed three of his miniatures(this game was before I got my stealth squad so all I had was my fire warriors and gun drones.
Please give me tactics.
The board we play on has very little cover and a building in the middle.

I have 3 shas’ui fire warriors and 9 shas’la.
2 gun drones and a markerlight drone.
And 2 shas’la xv25′s and 1 sha’ui xv25.
The strength of Tau lies in their powerful personal weaponry, but they lack the BS to make best use of it. At this sort of numbers, however, you should still be able to beat the Imperial Guard, simply by staying at the maximum range of your weapons for as long as possible. If you let them close with you, their superior Initiative and Weapon Skill will overpower you.
Use the XV25s to outflank on the board edge that brings them the closest to the maximum range of their weapons – and if you gave any of them a fusion blaster, remove it. It’s only really useful against armour and if all he’s got is a Sentinel, then you can take that down with your S5 pulse rifles.
