warhammer 40k salamanders or imperial fists?
what is the overall better/funner space marine chapter to play with? are their unique characters vulkan/lysander better than one another?
1) funner isnt a word (more fun)
2) there is no inherent difference between fists and salamanders since they both use the codex: space marine rules.
3) better is usually a matter of interpretaton, how you use the character , your army composition and your definition of what is “better” plays a big part. Both have similar staying power, lysander having more wounds and eternal warriors, where as he’stan having a 3+ invulnrable. I would think more about how you have your army built/ will build it, and make your choice on that, rather than building it around the character.
If you have a bolter heavy force, go lysander. If you have many melta’s and flamers, your better of with he’stan. If you have lots of terminators its more down to personal taste, you have the option of giving them lysander on the deepstrike (him having terminator armour and all) or you can go with vulkan, which will make their thunderhammers mastercrafted.
