What units should I get for my 40k ork army?
So far I have thirty boyz and 5 nobz from the black reach set. I was looking at Burnas, Lootas, and maybe a big mek. Any suggestions?
My buddy plays orks and a unit that is always devestating is Gazkhull and a squad of meganobz. All have a 2+ armour save, and Gazkhull has 2+ invulnerable during a waaagh. All are multi wound and have lots of attacks, as well, all of Gazkhull’s attacks are power fist attacks (doubles strength, no armour save, extra D6 when rolling for armour penetration). Unit very costly points wise though.
A little more cost effective unit would be a squad of bikes. Very fast and high toughness. Very good against shooty armies.
Burnas and lootas are a great choice against armies that field a lot of models, and big meks are good against shooty armies if they survive long enough to get into combat.
My choice for a smaller army like yours would probably be the bikes, or another mob of boys, because troops choices are the only units that count as scoring, and mobs can be devastating on the charge.
