Where can I download the rules for the original 1989 version of Space Marine, the Epic Warhammer 40K game?
Preferably in .pdf or Word format.
As far as I know, the original rules are not available online. You can get the latest version of Epic (Epic Armageddon) as a free download from GW here:

There’s also a fan made version of 2nd edition Space Marine, called NetEpic, available here:
http://www.netepic.org/epicentre-downloads
4th and 2nd editions are widely considered the best incarnations of the Epic series. Sorry I can’t help you find the original; hope these links are any use.
