Artificial foliage for making Wargame Terrain I need specifics?
I have searched a lot, so don’t just toss out a website to search through. It needs to be in semi bulk
leaves must be small enough to look realistic to 28mm miniatures. Juniper roots are perfect for tree trunks but all I can find is whole bushes. railroad stuff costs to much as do things on game sites. I want to make my own anyway.
In my years of dioramas and model railroading, I’ve use a LOT of the stuff from Woodland Scenics ( http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/ ). YES it’s a little pricey, but it’s good quality. I buy their foliage and apply it to roots and branches I find around the ranch (yes, Juniper too).
Another few things I’ve used over the years with good effect for leaves on 1/35 scale miniatures:
Crushed oregano (dyed with food-coloring)
Crushed REAL leaves
Cut paper (VERY tedious cutting each leaf, but very nice looking when dyed)
