What Warhammer Fantasy army is fun and competitive?
Hey guys. I played Warhammer 40k and just recently my place is going into some fantasy games. Now im not a good guy person, I dont like the imperium or empire, elves.and such. Im more of a chaos army guy, but since i play chaos in 40k I want to try something a little different. I am looking at 2 different armies. The first being Chaos Daemons, the other Vampire Counts. Now is someone experienced is answering please explain the tactics and why they are competitive(I kinda dont want a broke army. Broke meaning the most unstopable thing against anything). So here is the question. Which bad guy army should i go for and why?
I have both a demon and a vampire counts army. Daemons are pretty broken in fantasy. There are a couple of builds that are auto-wins against anything other then a strong list backed by a strong player. Vampire Counts is an extremely competitive army. There are also numerous strong builds. The most common builds are: Spawn Spam (you start out with a bunch of 10 man units of either ghouls and skeletons and then raise them up to rediculos numbers, requires alot of vamps and power dice), deathstar (a tough unit like grave guard or blood knights that contains all your characters, made near indistructable by a wight king BSB with the Drakenhof Banner (gives whole unit regen)), or a balanced list using a number of different elements.
