usaf reserve question?
would a airman that works in space maintanence any type of maitenence/ engeneering work in the af RESERVES, be deployed to fight in armed combat along side the marines and army if not what jobs would they do on deployment (similar to their feild or not?)
and what do army convoys do? (and would a RESERVE airmen in maintenance be in one)
also what are the maximum years of service before discharge?
Wow that’s the job I’ll be doing in the Air force reserves. I would like to deploy to fight in armed combat with the other branches otherwise the rifle training they give us in BMT is a complete waste. They’ve been re-training the Air force and talking about all this warrior Airmen stuff so if the Air force still looks like a country club by the time I get in I won’t be reenlisting.
Edit: In the Air force reserves, at least for my job, you have to do a minimum of 6 years. It could be different for other jobs, but you still need a minimum of 6 years to get the selected reserve GI Bill. As far as maximum it’s probably the same 6 years, but you can reenlist until you’re too old to be in the military anymore if you want.
