in warhammer 40 000 is it possible for 2 different squads of 2 different types of infantry to share transports?
i want to have my 10 lootas and 10 tankbustas in a battlewagon (capacity of 20 models) and wanted to know if that was possible)
Unfortunately, placing two units on one vehicle is prohibited in the Fifth Edition rulebook: “A transport may carry a single infantry unit and/or any number of independent characters (as long as they count as infantry), up to a total of models equal to the vehicle’s transport capacity. Then entire unit must be embarked on a transport if any part of it is – a unit may never be partially embarked or spread across multiple transport vehicles.”
So, if you’re trying to use two units you’ll need two vehicles. This is wise because you’ll want to keep the Lootas away from the enemy, but you want to get the Tankbustas right up to the enemy armor. I would suggest taking two Looted Wagons as your vehicles; two of them will still cost twenty points less than one Battlewagon, each unit will have a vehicle, and your opponent will have to spend time firing at two separate targets.
