I want to start playing Warhammer. Can you help me choose an army?
About two years ago I played Warhammer 40,000 using some Chaos Space Marines. Now, returning to the hobby, I find their rules difficult and I find them generally boring to paint, but I don’t want to drop loads more money on a different army and make a bad decision just to find myself in a similar situation.
I’d like to start playing again, but I can’t choose which version of the game to try (Fantasy, 40,000 or Lord of the Rings) and which army to play.
I’d like an army that are good to play on the battlefield and are quite versatile but are not too hard to use and are fun to paint but not too difficult.
What game would you recommend I play, and which army in that game? Perhaps you could suggest an army that would suit me for each game.
