Warhammer 40K Questions on the Tau?
I am thinking of starting up a tau Army, How good are they? How often are they seen to win, and do Kroots hold a importance in the army. From what i have heard so far, When you are kroot heavy, like full 35 units (20 carnivores, 12 hounds, and 3 Krootox) when you have like 2 squads of those in your tau army people usually do REALLY well and win, but when tau dont have a strong kroot presence they die out quickly. Is there any fact to this? What should i focus on when building a tau army
I know for a fact that my friend never uses Kroot or Vespids, but still has a pretty devastating Tau army. He has the majority of his troops either mounted in transports or deep striking in, making his force highly mobile, always striking from a range and really hard to land a good blow on. It’s really good for capturing objectives and taking out specific targets (tanks, characters, etc). Tau will do quite as long as nobody gets within assault range, so either making them highly mobilized or putting assault units like Kroot between you and the enemy are the best ways to solve that problem.
