i think there is a little arrogance from both managers and in the case of chelsea, there was little respect given to cup football and burnley, i had tickets but missed the game because of a meeting and i couldnt help remembering charlton a few seasons ago. where jose got a wake up call. hopefully scholari is getting to see football in england is a funny ol game. big phil lost the plot last night with his selections and substitutions. a few key players let him down bigtime though.
as for poor ol scousas, they just had a real bad 10 minutes and if they had of been awarded that penalty the last ten minutes would have been v interesting.
i do think both managers wanted to do well in the competition. i think thats the easiest comp to win and takes so much pressure off the team and manager!
