Warhammer 40k chaos space marines question for you.?
I have a squad of 10 regular space marines and am getting quite a few chaos space marines in a trade for some other stuff. Is there a simple way to convert my normal marines into chaos marines or is it against the rules? If it’s against the rules then I have a squad of 10 primered space marines for trade if anyone is interested …lol.
The only “rules” with regard to 40k miniatures are house rules, unless you’re playing in a Games Workshop sanctioned event. And even then, the only requirement is that you have to use a model representative of the troop, and use GW figures. Conversions allowed and even encouraged.
Converting your space marines:
Change gear as appropriate (if required/desired where you play)
Repaint – Lots of darker colors. Purples, greens, black, reds. Add damage to armor/helmets. Dark wash final paint jobs. Add chaos insignia as appropriate.
Focus your conversions on whichever Chaos god your marines are going to be aligned with, i.e. Nurgle marines, go with a diseased/decayed look.
