Will windows xp 32 bit work on AMD Turion 64 x2?
I have a compaq presario F756NR laptop, with an AMD Turion 64×2 Processor, 2 gigs of RAM. It has windows vista home premium installed, and I want to downgrade it to windows xp professional. I am new to the 32-bit and 64-bit thing, and I would like to ask whether it would be just fine to install the 32-bit version of windows xp on this laptop? It’s the only one I have. Thanks!
yup! but you need to add some SATA drivers for your XP installer.
you can use nlite to do this.

but if you have windows XP SP3 then it is much easier because you don’t need to add some HDD drivers in it.
Please note that before you downgrade your laptop, you need to prepare the drivers first. you may have a problem regarding the drivers for windows XP, I suggest you contact HP online support so that they can give you the drivers you needed. HP is willing to give you the drivers for WINXP.
