What are all the parallels races from warhammer to warhammer 40k ?
Chaos and highElves/woodelf/darkelf are obviously parallel with chaos marines and craftworld eldar/darkeldar/exodites, and orcs with orks
who do space marines parallel with? modern version of bretonians?
beastmen or cathay = tau? really? aren’t beastmen chaos aligned and tau for the “greater good”?
lizardmen=?
skaven=?
undead = necron?
imperial guard= empire …? or space marines = empire?
tomb kings=?
tyranids=?
dwarves=ratlings?
ogre kingdoms =?
Sadly some of them have been retconned, in the early days of Warhammer 40K there were IG and Chaos IG Beastmen, Squats (Space Dwarves), Zoats, Slann and a few other minor oddities. Space Marines AND Imperial Guard both got bikes, jetbikes, Rhinos and Land Raiders. Ogres are still there as Ogryns.
