assault on black reach warhammer 40k beginners help?
me and a friend have assault on black reach and i read the rules but im not sure about the armour piercing. the way i worked it out is that with nearly all of the space marine guns in this set nearly all of the orks don’t get a armour save at all if i get a wound? so could some please shed some light on this for me thanks

i know nearly everything except for the armour piercing part. i just want to make sure i get that part right
You’re reading it right. Most Orks, having only a 5+ save, will not get to make an armour save against the Space Marines’ bolters, which have AP 5. Marines, meanwhile, will still get their 3+ save against the Orks’ weapons.
The lesson? Orks need to make use of cover or else rapidly close the distance to choppa range, where their armour saves come into play.
