Orks “Looted Vehicles” in 40k?
I was looking at the Ork Codex and I saw a page with “Looted Vehicles”. Does this mean I could just by a, rhino for example and make it orkish so I can add it to my army? If yes, does this apply to flying units like the Valkyrie?
In the current rules Orks can no longer field the vehicles of other races, only loot them for use as Wagons.
There is no set size for Ork Battle Wagons so you CAN use a Rhino but the widely accepted size is about the same size as a Land Raider and the minimum is about the size of a Leman Russ; using a smaller vehicle is considered cheating unless you bulk it up.
If you want to use a small vehicle as a Battle Wagon a workaround solution is to put it on a large Land Raider sized base and raise it up a little (bulk up the base with “rocks” or whatever – balsa wood, stones, epoxy putty, bitz-box scraps) to give it the same overall size.
*Technically* Orks can’t use anti-grav but it would be a petty-minded bunch of players who refused to allow a converted Eldar Grav Tank because “it can fly”.
