A good army bulid/strategy for Warhammer 40,000?
Any suggestions for a decent 500-2,000point army build and strategy for Imperial Guard for table top matches(not Dawn of War)? Your Imperial Guard suggesttions dont have to use my army ,but would be easier and more helpful. As of right now I have:
40 Veteran Guardsmen(4 squads)
10 Kasrkins(1 squad)
3 Heavy weapon platforms(lascannons)
2 Scout sentinels
1 Armoured Sentinel
1 Valkyrie
1 Basilisk
1 Leman Russ Battle Tank
1 Chimera
1 Platoon Command squad(5 figures)
1 Company Command squad(5 figures)
1 Tech Priest
As well as a squad of Grey Knights(5 figures)
drop the vetren guard to normal guards and save the points, stick the kasrkins in the valk, stick a squad of guards in the chimera for an armoured fist, i wouldnt take the points sink in the grey knights.
Use your heavy weapons as a squad purely for tank hunting
use your sentials as a squadron of them to scout and flank use your guaards to set up a gunline, tactics wise, depends on the mission and deployment
If you can use your leman russ as a punisher varient to deal with infanry models
Also try and get some orgyns are you cc unit
